Field Services & Pro AV

Hardware Procurement, Staging & Deployment Configured before it ships. Installed on schedule.

Our field services partner sources hardware through distribution, stages and configures it at its configuration and integration centers before anything ships, and installs it across every site. PA NextGen acts as master scheduler from day one.

What it covers

Scope of the service

PA NextGen: scoping, partner selection, master scheduling, coordination, reporting and single point of accountability. Field services partner: technicians, help desk, staging and integration centers, Pro AV specialists and on-site delivery.

Assess

  • Consulting, technical assessments and testing before anything is ordered
  • Site surveys: site contacts and access procedures, documentation of the technology at each location, photos and an inventory of existing infrastructure
  • Requirements validation against the customer environment, goals and compliance requirements
  • Vendor-agnostic hardware options and package selection to fit the solution and the budget
  • Validated multi-vendor bills of materials, technical quoting and Wi-Fi site assessments

Procure

  • Hardware sourced through the partner’s distribution, with manufacturer pricing negotiated by the partner
  • Inventory planning and management, including storage and logistics for customer-owned inventory
  • Software and licensing, perpetual or subscription, sourced alongside the hardware
  • Delivery coordinated ahead of staging, so nothing waits on a missing part

Stage and configure

  • Equipment received and inventoried at the partner’s configuration and integration centers
  • Operating system provisioning, imaging and application integration
  • Asset tagging, etching and labeling
  • High-touch kitting and staging, configured and tested to the documented design before it ships
  • Logistics management, with environmentally responsible shipping and packaging removal

Install and cut over

  • Installation by partner technicians at each location to the rollout schedule, with equipment placement identified during the site survey
  • Structured cabling, physical cabling and network connectivity, with connectivity and integration checks on site
  • Phased installation: network infrastructure first, then end-user equipment, then an after-hours go-live cutover where required
  • Multi-site deployments, cloud and software migrations, application deployment, data center and networking services, and audiovisual design and installation
  • Training and adoption support at go-live, in person, virtual or recorded
  • Handoff to on-site support and dispatch and asset lifecycle management

How we work

Our approach

  1. Assess

Consulting, site surveys and requirements validation, so nothing is assumed going into the customer’s environment.

  2. Source and stage

The partner sources the equipment, then stages, images, tags, kits and tests it before shipment.

  3. Install

Partner technicians handle cabling, connectivity and phased installation at each site, to PA NextGen’s integrated schedule.

  4. Hand off

Cutover, training, documentation and transition to ongoing support.

Project management

  • A project kickoff to define resources and the timeline
  • One master schedule across the prime vendor, the customer, manufacturer shipments and transportation, built with contingency planning
  • Service vendor management by PA NextGen, with the partner’s capacity and contingency built in for workmanship
  • Weekly status meetings and documented updates
  • Project closure documentation to formalize the end of the project

Typical outcomes

What you can expect

  • Site survey documentation and an infrastructure inventory for each location
  • Equipment that arrives staged, imaged, tagged and tested
  • Standardized deployments across every site, delivered under the prime vendor’s brand where required
  • One integrated schedule and one point of accountability
  • Project closure documentation
